We are so excited to share a sneak peek of Kaileigh and Matt’s wedding day at Applewood Farm!
We feel SO honored when people from our past pop into our inbox as an inquiry to photograph their wedding. Kaileigh and I (Logan) went to high school together and our families served at church together. Though we had since lost touch, social media can be such a wonderful thing! Kaileigh followed us on FaceBook and Instagram and we were able to reconnect and have the joy of walking through Kaileigh and Matt’s marriage journey with them!
We traveled to Birmingham, Alabama for the future Brown’s rainy, Railroad Park engagement session. To say that Matt was less than excited would be an understatement. BUT… the groom’s hesitation is one of the most important reasons we include an engagement session in all of our collections. After a couple of hours with this amazing couple in front of our lens, Matt was more comfortable, may have actually HAD FUN, and was a complete natural on Wedding Day! Ask any of our past grooms–we are willing to bet they would ALL say the e-sesh is 100% worth it!
It’s no secret that most couples pray against the rain on their wedding day. After a rainy engagement session, we were praying hard with Kaileigh and Matt. However, the Lord had other plans and these two were such troopers. As “glass half full” kind of people, they recognized that all of their wedding and engagement events had been on rainy days. SO, ALL THE MORE LUCK heading into marriage!
The day began our favorite way–bridesmaids cozying up with mimosas in beautiful robes while getting ready. From there, we headed to Applewood Farm. Wow! What a treat to work with the amazing team at this venue! They’ve thought of every little detail! They made sure the day ran smoothly, not only for their couples, but for the vendors working alongside them, as well!
Kaileigh and Matt were so relaxed and joyful and surrounded by the best of friends on their day. We especially loved another beautiful and sweet first touch. The first touch is becoming a couple favorite for those wanting to stick to tradition and not see each other before the ceremony. Matt’s prayer blew us away–what a servant and spiritual leader he is!!
The love these two have for each other is just the sweetest. From the moment Kaileigh walked down the aisle, they didn’t take their eyes off each other. You can tell that Kaileigh just feels so safe in the presence of Matt (I mean, he is a firefighter) and that he is confident in protecting her! I love that!!! We can’t wait to follow along and see where their marriage journey takes them! Congratulations to the Browns!!
