Nakita and Kyle | The Farm at High Shoals Wedding

July 30, 2018

Kyle and Nakita—WOW. Where do we even begin when it comes to our time with these two?? From our very first phone conversation, we knew we had to be the ones to document their love story. SO real and genuine, so fun and personable, so in love and such lights to all who have the pleasure of knowing them. We knew these qualities described them after one conversation.

After the most fun day boating around Lake Hartwell during their engagement session, recognizing the thought and attention to detail they both give to each other and to what is important to them, we knew their wedding day would forever be marked in our “faves” category.

Your big day was nothing short of all that you are together and the love that your families and friends have for you both. Every detail was thought out and accounted for, honoring some part of your lives together. Every vow spoken to each other was sincere—not a dry eye in the crowd, that’s for sure. It was a big party and yet so intimate. Truly one of the most special weddings we’ve ever gotten to be a part of.

Details and Vendors

The day began with the girls getting ready in the Mansion at The Farm at High Shoals while the guys shot skeet on the property. The maids received custom Adidas tennies and beautifully simple, gold bracelets from their bride bestie.Nakita’s bridesmaids prayed so genuinely over her and laughed and cried reminiscing. The men received Kahr guns from the groom and a gift box complete with items from Diesel Brothers, Uzi, and Humvee.

Nakita wore a stunning Paloma Blanca gown from The Poinsett Bride in Greenville, South Carolina. We LOVED her simple, full-lace gown and couldn’t have chosen better for her than the deep v-neck adorned with her David Yurman jewelry and gorgeous, custom solitaire princess-cut engagement ring designed by Los Angeles Designer, Sarah Poursh.

Kyle’s suit was a tailored, custom design by Indochino and was complemented with a Brackish Bowtie and a Carl Jhones Swiss Made Watch.

Gardenia Floral Designs created a soft, statement bouquet of slate blue and muted blush. Both Nakita’s wedding bouquet and bridal session bouquet were absolutely amazing!

THIS. FIRST. LOOK. THOUGH. I think Kyle was speechless upon seeing his bride (we were, too!). It was the most special and intimate moment of them just taking in the other and emotions setting in for what was to come. We could never say enough how important and special we believe the first look is on your wedding day.

We snuck some last minute bridal party pictures before the ceremony and they are easily some of my favorite bridal party images, EVER. Nakita’s girls look perfect in their Alfred Sung bridesmaids’ dresses from Dessy Group! (And again… could we have a more beautiful bride?!)

These guys were such jokesters all day! They embraced having their picture taken and we had so much fun! Fun Fact: By the end of the evening, TWO of them ripped their pants RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE. OOPS. Can you guess who??

Nakita painted this unbelievable glass portrait of their venue–such an awesome idea for a “guest book!” Highly recommend!

Beautiful reception in the barn at High Shoals. Design and event by Georgia Wedding Consultants and catering and cake by Mama’s Boy Catering.

This band! Easily one of the best we’ve ever seen!! They didn’t take a break all night and had everyone going on the dance floor! From Nakita’s dad breaking it down to a wedding party dance competition, what a party!

Kyle and Nakita– We couldn’t be happier to call you friends. You are both loyal, kind, fighters for your people, and so, so fun. It was an honor to walk through the best season of life with you both. Cheers!
